SmartPay is a financial ecosystem that allows you to send / receive money across borders, view your investments, and access your crypto wallet - all in one place.

Challenge

SmartPay is a decentralized finance (DeFi) app that works through its main application, Shoptaki for ID verification. Our main objective is to create an all-in-one digital wallet and payment app couched in meticulous research.

Our goals were to:

Create a pay / request flow that allows users to send and receive fiat / crypto currencies across borders.
Design a digital wallet to accommodate credit cards, bank statements, and crypto transactions.
Laying the groundwork for financial tools for small business owners.

My Role

This project was a 4-week design sprint to create the SmartPay app for our client, Shoptaki. My scope of work covered User Research and Ideation phases, with tasks such as:

Project Management
User Interviews
Competitive & Comparative Research
Synthesize Research
Define Priorities
Conduct Usability Tests
Weekly Client Check-Ins to define the process and clarify information as needed
